A zoo is much more than its animals—it is built on the daily dedication of countless people working behind the scenes.

Every day at Zoo Debrecen is a team effort. Animal keepers care for our residents from dawn to dusk, gardeners maintain the 17-hectare park, ticket office and reception staff welcome visitors, office colleagues handle the administrative tasks that keep operations running smoothly, and our hygiene team ensures cleanliness and safety throughout the facility. Alongside them, our volunteers play an invaluable role in the life of the zoo.

People from diverse backgrounds and professional fields work together toward a shared goal: ensuring that every visitor—whether a young child or a grandparent—leaves the Great Forest with unforgettable memories and a deeper connection to nature.
